Homemade healthy treats for your furry friend! Simple recipe with only 4 ingredients!


  • 3/4 cups sweet potato puree
  • 1 egg**
  • 1 1/41/2 cups all-purpose flour* (I used Bob’s Red Mill Gluten-Free flour)
  • 1/4 cup thawed peas


  1. Preheat oven to 350F. In a bowl, combine sweet potato puree and egg. I used puree from a leftover baked sweet potato. Slowly add flour, mixing until dough is thick. Knead in peas. Add extra flour, if needed, until it’s thick like biscuit dough. Place dough onto a floured surface and roll to 1/4” thick disc. Use a cookie cutter and cut out as many biscuits as possible. Re-roll scraps and continue to cut out biscuits until all the dough is used up. If you don’t have a cutter, you can use a knife or pizza cutter to cut squares or rectangles. Place cut dough onto a lightly greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool thoroughly and store in an airtight container. Yields about a dozen (depends on your cookie cutter.)


  • *You can try using a grain-free flour if you’d like, although I haven’t tested it. You really just need flour to thicken the puree & egg mixture.
  • *You can use a flax egg if your dog is allergic.
